Until now, Evadne had always been depicted in a traditional inked style, whereas the rest of her world and the inhabitants in it were shown in a more realistic style.
As she sheds the false outer self and reveals her true nature, her art style updates to reflect that change.
...either that or I just thought it would look cool WHO EVEN KNOWS ANYMORE EVERYTHING IS A LIE
